In 2021, we decided it would be a good idea to buy this little house in France. We’d seen it up for sale but it was then taken off the market, only to reappear six months later. It felt like it was meant for us. Without thinking it through and without seeing it, we bought it. With all the Covid restrictions in place at the time, we did not get to see till six months after buying it. It turns out it is a much larger project than anticipated!

Damp

One of the major issues we found was the walls. Beautiful stone walls covered in concrete and then layers of really bad corkboards. We are busy tearing all this down and getting back to the original stone. The damp is slowly dissipating.
